I've bought something on ebay!

It was a buy it now sale. I've gone through the checkout and signed up for paypal. My paypal account shows as the money being sent.

However my ebay summary and mail sent by ebay say i've not paid. So I paid again! Luckily the user was able to refund the payment However my ebay summary shows as not being paid (it showed as paid yesterday).

Ebay have declined to answer my email as to why - anyone else had this problem??????

Paypal would have sent you a confirmation that you paid and it will be on your Paypal account when you log in. Don;t worry about the status on Ebay, they're always having issues with their system which doesn;t necessarily update straight away or comes up with gibberish. I've noticed quite a few delays in the last 2 days.

ebay page doesnt always update straight away.
As long as you get the paypal confirmation on screen (and by email- even that can be delayed!) its gone through.

Lucky he refunded!
