Rear Projection TV's
Will be returning my Philips 32" Widescreen TV with built in DVD player & stand before Xmas after a couple problems with it. Don't have a massive budget for a replacement so that's LCD's & Plasma's out of the question. Would get another 100Hz 32" CRT again and the Philips one I have was very good at first so would consider another one although without the DVD player built in this time.
Anyway what's the general opinions on Rear Projection TV's as this seems to be the only alternative to CRT's and the only way to gain any screen size within my budget?
Don't know much about them to be honest (their general quality, reliability, life span etc) especially how they compare to CRT's
The one I'm looking at is Samsung 42" Rear Projection TV but is 100Hz not 50 and can get it for a good price.
Good idea or should I stick to a 32" CRT my limit really is £700 to spend.
Thank in Advance

I have a 43" Hitachi that cost me a lot more than they are selling for now
100 hz, progressive scan, DD, DTS ect. With a digital source the pic is fine not as crisp as a crt but nowhere as bad as people (who dont own one) make out.
I was going to go the projector route but am just keeping the RP TV for now.
