I'm not convinced - it's so blatantly 'driven' by the marketing department..
That MPV test was so bent -
- start with conversation with Fiat "If you let the Multipla win a comparitive test you can have one to give away in your telephone competition, therefore getting all the call revenue without shelling out for the prize"
- isolate specific areas where Multipla is 'best in class' (visibility/noise) and one area where all perform similarly (whilst ignoring performance, looks, reliablity, economy),
- make subjective statements as fact ('the interior is really nice')
hey presto the Fiat is the winner - and purely by chance that's the one they've got to give away.. Can you imagine "and the winner is the Megane Scenic, in last place is the Multipla, which you can win after the show". Not so many calls now eh, Vicky?
I say that's not journalism, it's product placement.
Does this remind anyone of the rather skewed 4x4 test last year too?
Edited to say 'Bah humbug' and that Plato needs a hair-cut even if he can drive a little bit

sorry have to disagree crofty, apart from a few mins the show was pants.
MPV test....sorry but when that idiot said inside one of the moving MPV's that it was the same db level as a flushing toilet.....I actually turned over.
Flushing toilet says it all really.
People slate Top Gear, but at least its proper car entertainment.
Tiff looks bored stiff, get him over to TG & every week do a Tiff vs the Stigg segment where they both are timed around the circuit in a weekly head to head, like they did at MPH03 last year.
