Spiders in me alarm
Hi
Whats the best way to keep the little b@ggers away from the sensors?
In the house alarm
Alarm gets triggered from time to time with one of them crawlling over or setting up home in the sensor
Cheer

SWMBO bought some "Spider Stop" spray. Put some on a cloth and wiped a little bit on the body of the PIR. No more spiders.
I'll ask her where she got it from when she eventually surfaces (6 pints of Stella + 4 pints of Snakebite last night so it may not be for a while )

Alternative (if you have acess to the "engineer mode" on your alarm) is to set your alarm up so the sensors act on a "double knock"
Basically, they need to be triggered twice before actually setting off the alarm.
Also you could replace the sensors with dual technology type sensors: These has a microwave sensor in addition to the normal infrared sensor - both have to be triggered to activate the alarm.
It could be you just have crappy quality PIR's a good one usually has to have the beam broken 3 times before activating the alarm. They shouldn't be triggered by bugs.

If they are getting inside the sensor then blocking the holes where they get in would be a start, use blu tac if you've got nothing better.
