Angry Parts rip-off..........Grrrrrr!

Youth's Clio off the road again, this time, cooling fan has stopped working. Took it off, tried it, it's obviously US, so rang Robnault for a new one.

If I buy JUST the motor (no fan, bracket etc) it will be...............wait for it........................£123 +VAT

Ridiculous

Off to get it rewound etc for about a tenth of that!

You shouldn't have to much trouble finding one cos of how common clio's are.

Renault dealer wanted £75 when one of the bulbs went in the projector beam headlights on MrsREV's Clio. 10 minutes research on the net and I had a pair of Philips Vision Plus bulbs with UV filter to protect the lenses and a free set of sidelight bulbs for £18 delivered. Renault = Rip-off, IMHO

Here's my fave rip-off, just showing p*ss-poor design, IMO:

To change a front foglight bulb in a T reg Xantia: £90+VAT.............it needs the front bumper assembly removed

Not uncommon these days. Looking through duffers/letters on www.topgear.com this was mentioned on several makes/models. Madness.
