Default Dura Shine

Advertised on the shopping channels by those cheesy yanks trying to plug the product no end.

Anyway, the Dura Shine looks pretty impressive, a polish that virtually repels all water from the surface of your car, it doesnt leave tiny water spots, it gets rid of all water.
They sell a cleaning kit including the polish for £20 on JML.

Anyone used this, is it any good or is it another spoof item ?

P.S Can someone recommend me a decent car polish and where to get it from online ?

Thanks
Marc.

Unless your paintwork is oxidised and tired looking, just use a wax such as Meguiars Gold Class clear coat liquid wax from http://www.meguiars.co.uk/

Easy on, easy off, great results, unbeatable for the money.

I wouldn't waste money on anything by "JML".

Many sealants, including Autoglym, provide a sheeting effect similar to Durashine if you spray the car like in the infomercial. When I rinse my car after washing I use a wide slow spray setting on the hose nozel. Start with the roof and work your way down from there. Most of the water will sheet off. It only takes a couple of minutes with a microfibre cloth and the car is completely dry and ready to wax/polish.

I have used this product and found it was no better (or worse) than other less expensive products on the market.

Gus,
If it rained on the Durashine did you get beading or did the water just run off?
