I missed it tto, but I did catch a bunch of arrogant arty type ***** on newsnight discussing how it 'just wasn't funny', and it was mentioned on there that it is repeated one night next week, either Tuesday or Wednesday

Honestly, I thought it was funny, but not hilarious. I was a bit dissapointed, but I reckon it'll build up.

I thought it was ok, but no more than that.
A bit one dimensional. I guess that's a natural thing as I was comparing it to PN.

A couple of bits had me laughing out loud (can you catch), but otherwise not up to the high standard I have come to expect.
I am sure it will improve over the series.

I was left disappointed by it. I wanted to find it funny, but it just wasn't.

I've never actually got round to watching pheonix nights so it was fresh to me, maybe that's why I found it so funny
I really must watch pheonix nights

Through the joys of Sky +, I've just watched it. Thought it was very good. I think you either get Peter Kay or you don't. Personally I think he is very funny but there are many who can't see his humour.
Belgrano Girls anyone?
For those of you who don't have cable / Sky, it also repeated on Wednesday C4 at 11:05
