pixmania - any views?
Just found that these guys have a Portuguese site, with very attractive prices. As I can get the VAT back from Portuguese shops, this is even more attractive.
thought I saw a negative comment on here about them, so better ask.
I notice their guarantee is 1 yr manufacturer + 1 year shop; is this normal for electronic goods? I thought manufacturers had to offer a 2-year guarantee on most products these days?
Cheers
Brendan

Bought a digicam from them, over £100 cheaper than Sony shop price. Based in France I think. Fantastic service and they gave me a refund on an item that was packed in box (Sony's fault, not their's). I bought using a credit card that gives free extended Warranty but because goods were from France then this didn't apply. DL

I bought my sony video camera from them a couple of years ago, although I thought they had a base in France? Arrived without any problems and has been fine. No idea what the warranty situation is though to be honest, I always assumed it would be a 1yr manufacturer's warranty?

I just bought a Nikon 4200 from them on one of their package deals. Ordered it on the Friday afternoon and it came on the Monday morning. Good service IMO and won't hesitate to use them again.

Bought my D70 from them Brendan. The manual was in French but they told me that on the phone. They even included a UK plug adapter. Fast, polite, np's here

I bought a deal package pentax optio from them - service was quick, but the manual was in french...., and the battery charger was european
The manual I downloaded off the net - the battery charger I have to use with an adapter....
I suppose phoning them may have fixed this at order, but defeats the online ordering really...

Oh good, positive replies! Thanks to all
Just got to see if I qualify for the VAT back - if not, I'll use their Spanish site, which has cheaper prices than the Portuguese one
Edit - Ah well, they say it'll be a French invoice, so no VAT for me then - can't have everything, I suppose...
