Is it just me that finds trains so bloody confusing?

Can someone explane the different lines and different directions and different train service providers??

And the changes especially, don't want to get on the wrong one!

I'm gunna get looost otherwise..

I find above excellent - worth looking around site as they also have virtual arrival/departure boards. DL
