Dyson DC03* - how to remove switch?
Flex has just shorted out so needs to be replaced - but I can't work out how to release/remove the on/off switch unit so I can access the cable connectors.
Anyone any ideas please?

I did this on the pre-war Dyson 01. Really crude mechanism inside. Not much help to you but this may be: 01666 827272. Dyson helpline and they usually answer promptly. DL

Hello
I did this on a slightly earlier model, and you actually have to prise it off. Dysons are relatively easy to dismantle. In fact, I even got so good as to completely replace the drive belt the other day.
Steve.

usually you need to get a slim falt baladed secrewdriver down beside the switch and ease it out.
I bought "dyson switch removal tool" on-line once - turned out to be a cheapo flat blade screwderive (of the sort you get in crackers) with the end bent through 90 degress. Amazing what I'll buy on the internet!
