flaw in US election system?
I know the States is so big it has various time zones, but it seems that polls close on the East coast at 0000GMT, and results can be declared AT THAT TIME, yet polls don't close until 0500GMT in, say, California, and 0600GMT in Alaska.
Surely declaring results on the east coast before west coast polls have closed can have an influence on voting?????
Surely you shouldn't be declaring results until ALL polls have closed?
ie, don't open voting boxes until 0600GMT????
Quite odd.
