sorry.. even if not stolen.. i wouldn't want a Rolex... (solid gold or not).. to have no paper work.
If he has the leather watch box.. and the cardboard outer box... why no paper work??????

Very suspicious.

Why is a Rolex owner buying used car? Someone with the means to own a Rolex wouldn't touch a used car.

Ask him for the serial number and phone rolex uk. They have a register of stolen watches.

If its got afterset stones, its going to be awful.

I know what Phil is saying, but many owners don't keep the papers on older watches.

Sounds like an ugly ****** though

I'd have to be paid a considerable sum to wear that watch.

yer prefer submariner and daytoa myself

but theres a market for everything, if i take it in px and as long as get it reasonable there should be no problem, will be just another asset that sits in the safe till someone wants to buy it

A DD of that age would normally fetch around £5k from a dealer so you would be looking at a trade in of about £4k , however the lack of box and papers coupled with what is an abomination of a dial would probably drop this closer to £3 - 3.5k

you may find that you could add a ciuple of hundred from a dealer who has an outlet for the stones

Right, so there's no way someone with the means to own a Rolex would park a used car outside their executive Barratt house. What would the rest of the estate say?

Nice watch BTW. Tell your buyer to sell it himself and give you the cash.

if your taking in in part ex on a car give him £2k for it its a good price for the watch and if he doesnt like it , tell him to sell it himself. but i would take it to a proper jewellers and get it appraised personally im not a fan of the gold Rolex's

What a nasty looking watch, did it come from Liberache ?

Apples are you in possesion of the watch ?

If so, undo the crown and pull it out one click, now try to change the date by rotating it counter-clockwise.

What does the watch do ?

Does the date change or does the hour hand move in increments of 1 hour ?

I am a born pessimist, so obviously I think its blag.....

Can you take the spring bars off the strap, at the jaw end of the case, if so PM me the number stamped behind it.

I could probably sell this watch, but I have reservations about going in the Blue Oyster Bar, after what happened last time.
