WARNING!!! new speed camera westbound M4
Workmen are installing a new speed camera in one of the overhead gantries showing the Junction 5 exit on the westbound M4 carriageway.
There are the usual short white stripes painted on the road, but the camera is completely concealed as you approach it – M25 stylee.
TheApproach with caution!

aha
mentioned this before about new cameras on the m4
I travel m5-->m4-->wales and back again every weekend and have noticed a few of these springing up lately.
There is one on the sliproad from the M4 Eastbound to M5 north+south.
Another is on the sliproad coming off M5 south onto M4 East (well, the lines were painted last week, so i fully expect to see the camera there by this weekend)
Both of these are 50MPH limits
p.s- which junction is J5?

There is one on the same M4/M5 junction, going from the northbound M5 to the eastbound M4, due to bridgeworks at the junction. The camera is sited more or less immediatly after the 50MPH sign.

Im assuming this camera is in an area where there are road works?
I thought all the fixed cameras on motorways had been removed now? (clearly way too dangerous to have them on motorways - main cause of accidents on motorways - sudden braking - what does everyone do when they spot a camera?....)

Not sure if its speed related, but it does resemble the types on the M25
