Default Video Senders - For electronics bods

Does anybody know if you can use a video sender to send a standard coax uhf signal from one location to another??

I've found hundred that have RCA adapters and scart but what about coax??

Also, if i converted the coax connector to a phono and plugged it into the video part of an RCA sender and then converted it back at the other end, would this work??

Hello

Can you explain what you are trying to do? Sending the entire coax spectrum wirelessly I think isn't possible, could be wrong ...

NOt everything... you see i have my main tv downstairs that has analogue cable which plugs into my downstairs tv by coax.

Now ive recently installed a tv in the loft... if i doubled the coax going into the original tv and ran a massive cable up the stairs then in the loft i would have my cable and all terrestrial channels in good quality picture in the loft too... i just wanna swap the massive cable for a video sender! but i can only find RCA and scart ones

Hello

Doesn't the signal to the television downstairs come from the aerial on the roof? So you could just split that at source?

Hello

Mmmm .. okay. I looked at all this stuff years ago, and come to the "no" conclusion. The best I could do is transmit one channel (illegally as it happened) around the house with a wireless video sender.

So unless some new technology has been invented, I would still say "no". But at least these replies keeps your message at the top!

Ah right ... well thanks for your assistance boxst! I was just curious as the whether the sender just literally replaciated what was put in (signal wise) or whether it had bandwidth limits or whatever?

I suppose the real answer is to just go buy one and hope it works!!
