Question Mate didn't pay his speeding fine on time?

Got the following email from my mate and I don't know the answer - anyone know?

"Right this could be one for Scooby Net.

As you know about 3 months back I was caught doing 61 mph in a 50 zone. 3 points and £60.

However, I left it to the last moment to pay and forgot to send the paper part of my license. As a result they did not accept my payment and told me to wait until I was contacted by the procurator fiscal. Any ideas what I am looking at? Increased fine? More points? Death by hatchet?"

don't know what will happen,

but I think your mate can rest easy that a sentence of 'death by hatchet' will not be passed

IMHO of course !

Just tell him to send all the stuff again, they'll no duobt accept it as its cheaper than taking you to court. imho.

My other half was two weeks overdue paying her fixed Pen and just posted the stuff off, no problem.

Of course, they could well be arsey about it.....

Is the Procurator Fiscal a big fella? If I remember correctly the right to trial by combat wasn't ever repealed in Scotland. Only the true can win.
