Hey guys,

Anyone know what traffic is like coming down either the A1 or M11 to get on the M25 to go to just near the Dartford tunnel (at rush hour).

I can get on either the A1 or the M11 (coming from Leicester and avoiding the M1!!!)....

Anyone who travels this way know which is the best (relative) way?

But using the M11 would mean you have to use the A14.......................

Depends on time.

Its going to be busy whenever you go. Just leave plenty of time and prepare for a traffic jam on the M1 at J11 if you get there at 7ish or later.

Was not so bad this morning, but thats partly due to half term.

I travelled down the A1 from grantham yesterday to the M25 (went to heathrow) set off around 11 no problems all the way, came back around 1-3 and got back no probelms too.... I avoid the M11 as said the A14 is always busy, full of traffic cops and speed cameras too

Also there are some roadworks on the M25/M11 junction which do cause probs from time to time.

However IIRC coming down the A1 is about 15 miles longer than the A14/M11

I'd chune in to the traffic on the radio and play it by ear

Oh and be prepared to queue near Dartford

There's no easy answer....
