Default Car breakers

They're a breed apart aren't they? Just phoned one to get a distributor for a one litre micra, post-93 model. They didn't know what 'post' meant! I couldn't help but laugh over the phone at them

Ah, breakers yards . . . many a sunday morning spent in the rain scaling a 5 car stack of Minis trying to avoid either falling off or toppling the lot.

In this day and age of Health & Safety I don't know how they get away with it !

Luckily they did have a distributor in stock, just fitted it - works a treat. Had to dig out my old timing strobe

It was quite a decent yard actually - everything was stripped from the cars and labeled on the shelf plus a proper receipt with 60 day warranty.

There is one in Alperton in North West London where the cars are still piled up and you're expected to climb the stacked vehicles to get the parts out. Plus they have a driver who shifts cars around the place like an ape, inches above your head. It's ridiculously dangerous. And 90% of anything useful is damaged while people are pulling other stuff off.
