I have some friends flying over from the States this week, he wants to keep in contact with his business can anyone suggest a company to hire a mobile phone for a week?
Do the hire car companies do this?

I've just thought, I could lend them an old phone and they could purchase a pay as you go card!

 

You can hire them through vodafone

 

It works out cheaper to buy a prepaid fone over there if it's going to be used heavily. The cheapest prepaid fone is probably Virgin Mobile, the basic fone+$5 credit costs abt $70ish, & it has probably the lowest call charge of all prepaids. Virgin uses Sprint's CDMA network.
Rental fones tend to have very expensive call charges anyway.
