I think I've obviously been spending far too much money advertising in my local paper as we've been invited to a 'Cruise Through the Ages' Champagne reception and three course dinner this Friday.
Only thing is...It's a black tie 'doo' What are we expected to wear exactly?
Dicky tie? Hired suit? What about the missus?
I went to one of these things many, many, year ago but things may have changed? Whats the score?

Yeah same here.... If I have to dress up I much prefer wearing a decent suit instead of a waiter costume!

Unfortunately black tie generally means what it says.... dinner jacket although you can pick your own waistcoat/bow tie...... or you could be the obligatory one that turns up in a white DJ Bond stylee!

Yeah - black tie for some silly reason means black DJ.... Then stick on a multi-coloured bow tie and waistcoat for that rebellious look....
