Mobile Phone Car Kits
Is there such a thing as a Bluetooth Car Kit which can monitor more than one mobile phone at a time?
I have 2 mobiles, one for work, and one of my own, and i would rather not use the personal hands free Blue Tooth headsets that I have. Obviously I would only be talking on one car kit at a time. Otherwise I guess the only option is to get one on a Bluetooth Car Kit, and use a personal kit for the other.

AFAIK, you cannot share a single connection between three devices.
As when they connect, they create a pairing. (some kind of certificates I presume)
Therefore you would need to have a hands free kit that has two lines.
I would be very suprised if any vendor produced such a thing, and it would probably be cheaper two buy two bluetooth kits and bind one to each phone.
I can ask some guys here about the bluetooth protocol and let you know.

Right....
The way bluetooth is designed, it won't really work.
My usumptions above were correct.
The guy I spoke too did come up with two options though.
1) You can have a personal area network. This is when you have many devices and you initiate the connection each time you want use the device.
The problem being is that, your phone probably won't setup a connection after it starts ringing.
You aslo need something to drive this network, ie a laptop in your car.
2) You can get a tariff from Orange that lets you have two lines on one phone.
This would seem a much simpler option. I bet it costs though!

My "discovering" this morning.
My T39 works with my Sony Ericsson HBC30 no problem
My T681 works with the above Sony Ericsson HBC30 no problem EXCEPT that it does not disconnect when the call has ended. I *think* that is a problem of the phone not the car kit.
Why? Well you can pair multiple devices to 1 thing but the 1st device to use the thing will have full ownership, so the 2nd device won't be able to use the thing until the 1st has ended using it etc.
Therefore in "theory" you can have multiple phones paired to the car kit but can only have 1 phone at a time using it. I have the phones set to use BT Automatically, as opposed to having them on all the time.
I can't say 100% 'cos of the error with my T68i but that, as I say, might just be the phone. The T39 is sweet as a nut.
