Anyone recommend a laptop with Office? MUST have powerpoint. The rest of office can be a freebie (openoffice etc.).

Needs to be 256mb ram min, 40GB HDD and with modem and network card.

£800 all in.

given that a proper office license is about £200.00? XPPro £60

going to be cutting it fine for a decent "work" machine. I'm sure you could get the budget low end / end user stuff without any issues.

Can you buy powerpoint sepperately?

Current thinking is that OpenOffice is the way to go. Free's up more cash for the machine itself. Can open/save as MS office docs too.
