what age did you stop taking your school grades to interviews
I've got an interview for a contract on Friday (ATM industry). I have a portfoilio of all my school and engineering grades. Question is do I take them, everything is on my CV which they have. What age if any did you stop taking yours? I'm 27.
The job I'm going for is a level below what I do now, but 3 times the money!!!

i never have. im 25 and have had 3 full-time professional jobs since leaving university.. and not one of them required proof of my education at any point, let alone required me to bring my diplomas with me.
good luck with your interview.

Unless you are applying to be a secretary and want to take in your Pitmans shorthand / typing certificates to confirm wpm, I really wouldn't bother.
Nobody has every asked for proof of my qualifications, they have always followed up references however.

What do you mean by "school grades"? do you mean putting GCSE/Alevel results on your CV, bringing in the actual certificates or bringing in your school report cards???

I used to put GCSE's down until I got a college degree, then used to put those down until I got a uni degree, then used that and nothing much else.
Spose its different in IT, noone cares if you got an A or B in geography
Jules
PS. Good luck

No I did mean my GCSE's and Nat Dip + others. Now I've done over 9 months as a second line help desk / data analyst in the ATM industry, the new role I'm going for is first line helpdesk. I'm trying to stay in the industry, everytime I've been made redundant I've changed, now I want to stay put as this 1 is intresting, not to mention overpaid.
Thank you all for your support for tomorrow.

I only ever took my highest qualification on the basis that if you have A'levels, they can be fairly certain that you have O'levels, if you have a degree they can be fairly certain you have A levels etc. No-one has ever asked to see any of the certificates anyway

What school grades.
I took a wooded woodpecker door knocker I made in " Woodwork/Craft " to my first interview, it was a bit pointless though, as it was for a driving job.
