Direct Line were the most reasonable for my big red psycho dog. If they charged by the dogs IQ they'd owe me money

Elle is insured through Tesco or Direct Line, I can't remember which.

About £9 per month

don't just go with cost.

What you get for your momey is more important

Make sure there is no limit on the timescale of any particular treatment, etc.

More Than are good, as is Pet Plan.

TBH, go ask your Vet - he/she is the one who has to deal with them more often than not and will be very helpful.

(2 rotties, insured with More Than. Not cheap, but then you only get what you pay for)

We used PetPlan, they were brilliant, but sadly we lost our dog just before Last Xmas But they paid all our vet bills.
Cheers

We use Lloyds TSB Pet Insurance. £10 a month I think.

Direct line and some others will only pay out for a 1 year max on any illness.

My mum has a westie that is diabetic and has to have injections twice a day costing about £100 per month. Luckily he is insured with pet plan and not direct line as direct line would stop paying after 1 year!!!

Go for someone who doesn't put a limit on time as stated above.

would go for pet plan myself, my parents dogs are insured with them and theres been no problems with any claims, even pay out every month for treatment for one dog that needs medication for the rest of its life.

check the cover (small print) with whoever you try, you would not believe the prices some of the treatments can cost.

Nice looking doggy ( my kids said that)

Just got a policy for our dog, via M & S.
Works out to around £125 pa, but compared a few and this one had the best cover.

M&S look like their cover is better than Petplan and cheaper!

Cheers Buck!
