Question Cyprus - EU ?

Anyone got any idea when Cyprus will become part of the EU ?

But isn't it only the South that's part of the EU?

Yes, only the south is at the moment.i am currently stationed there and am coming home on wed,can't wait.

MY05 tax free £11900 CY.

ozzy,

Cyprus income tax on pension income is 5% with no higher rates, get your UK pension paid gross to a Cyprus bank account. Have to get a residents permit, easy with a pension income. Pretty good reason to live there even apart from a very low crime rate, people leave their cars with the keys in and they still don't get nicked..

so whats the current standing on cars imported from there as far as warranty is concerned ?

as it is now a part of the EU, cars qualify as "parrallel imports" so Subaru dealers in the UK cant refuse to service them or supply parts, however the length of the warranty is a different matter! It will probably be the minimum required by law - used to be one year, but may now be two.
