'nature' or 'god' if you believe in that sort of thing obviously thinks you can still father a child as long as what you squirt remains 'active'. Yeah, 72 is a bit old but hardly a problem compared to people having kids in their teens which is much more of a problem.

In the sense that the son is definately going to experience the loss of a parent very early in life, the yes I guess you could call it selfish.
Other than that and the fact that humans are breeding like parasites (me included) on an environment that cannot sustain our race indefinately and therefore we are constructors of our own demise. Other than that way to go Dessie boy!

i think it's a bloody joke having a child at 72. what's the point? if he makes it to 90 (which will mean outliving the average male by about 10 years!) his kid would only be starting uni. statistically he'll be dead when his kid isn't even outta primary school. how sad.
