Brian Clough Tribute.
A sad day for all here in Nottingham & Derby, I'm sure most of you will agree that Brian Clough was a truly amazing manager for Forest & Derby.
I remember going to those Forest matches back in the late 70's early 80's when Forest under Clough & Taylor seemed to be untouchable. The atmosphere at the ground then was fantastic and something I will never forget.
Brian Clough will forever be remember as the manager that was able to turn around clubs that were flat on there faces and make them into a team that would be almost unbeatable.
Brian Clough will live on as a football legend, not just in Nottingham but in Derby too, he will be sadly missed by many football fans who had the chance to witness this mans achievements.

I watched Forest go from nothing to the best team in Europe under Brian Clough.
I had a seasn ticket all through Cloughy's time at Forest, I went to all the Wembley finals, Leauge, Vase, FA etc., as well as both European Cup finals. It was an amazing time for me as I was 9-15 years old during the glory years.
The ground also went through some amazing changes into the premier standard it is today.
It's sad that Brian let drink get to him during his final couple of years at the ground but I think most people will remember him for the vast amount of good he did for Nottingham. Some of todays players could certainly do with Brians discipline.
A few years back I went on a tour of the City ground and an after dinner talk with John Robertson, the stories he told were amazing. Staff would walk around the entire ground instead of walking past Brians ope office door.
Clough would also know everything about everything at the club not just the team.
Back then I used to enjoy football, today it's all finance and prima donna's, apart from the odd England match I don't watch any football.
A very sad day indeed.
RIP Brian Clough

The FA were too frightened to make him England Manager.
Shame.

- sad to read of his passing; really enjoyed watching Forest in the late '70's, especially taking on European clubs
- one of the straight-up guys (what you see is what you get).
And the big what if.
What if he had been given the England manager's job?
