What did you do at the weekend?
Hi
After another boring weekend, what did you guys get up to? Hopefully not all DIY and gardening
I felt about 80 years old this weekend, oh to be 18 again
Juicy

SJ.
You are very tall.
Me....I went to my luxury weekend retreat ( caravan ), and took my niece to the Rhyl Sun Centre .
What a Zoo that place is.
To add insult to injury, I got a £30 parking ticket, I only saw the sign saying Sun Centre Parking, and didnt see the pay a display machines.
Agh well, she enjoyed it...

Got woken up on Saturday night to the sound of my 10 week old daughter choking and gasping for breath.
Never had such a scarey moment in my life, just glad me and the wife were able to help her in seconds......everything ok now but my heart has never beat faster!
now just another 20 years of paranoia to get through

Mowed the lawn
Chiselled a hole for the tumble dryer vent that was too small (thankfully I have an SDS Hammer/chisel ). Broke off a load of plaster and lost half a brick face in doing so.
Cue expanding foam
And consequently spraying my lawn with foam trying to unblock the valve (so much for the "wet matchstick" preventative measure)
Mowed the lawn (again) to get rid of the expanding foam
Replaced the duff garden tap that's been dripping for about 2 years
Went to Merry Hell to get soem odds 'n sods...and totty spot
Oh and not to mention the mandatory visit to the pub at night
Rather eventful for me...I usually sleep thr5ough most of the weekend

Blimey - some of you had eventful weekends!
Saturday - sorting my lounge after the house move, friends over to lunch, off to another friends for an evening of drinking and playing with glowsticks/making wine racks out of V8 engines
Sunday - off-roading, or helping with the club stuff anyway as mine's still broken Fell asleep on the sofa by 9! Didn't even make it to the pub thanks to Saturday's antics!!

Had a fun girly weekend in Brighton and I didn't have to drive.
Travel company messed up our booking, so we were moved from a hotel miles out of town to one on the seafront in Brighton, what a result.
Spent a couple of hours in in the middle lane of the motorway, due to one of my mates not knowing other lanes existed.
Got to watch an extreme games demo, men playing beach volleyball and a great sunset.
Brighton was like being abroad, hot and sunny. Wish I had stayed an extra night.

saturday I went out and got drunk, not overly exciting but better than a kick in the teeth (or a trip to the mother in laws)
but on my return , we (the misses driving not me) pulled in the drive and got in the house...
then.......
<crack>
a large branch (as big as some trees) fell off a tree in our back garden (there was no wind it was all rotten and a fat magpie [maybe] landed on it) and into my scoob and the garage , knocking the front of the garage off !
I forgot to take a picture but I did look quite funny, once I had checked there was no damage of course !
so I then had to spend sunday cutting up the branch and disposing of it over our back fence

well out here in Paris it was too f.hot
Friday - went to Cardy, bought waterproof troosers for forthcoming trip to Isle of Mull, some tw*t on the Peripherique tried to kill me by driving his duck egg blue Xsara brat carrier into my FZ6 Fazer. Got home in time for me & Mrs xDB to go out for booze'n'grub with my work secretary and her hubby (not too drunk for a change).
Sat - played tourists at Montmartre - in eve Mrs xDB went to Madonna concert while I stayed in watching France v Israel and loading Mrs xDB's iPod with cool tunes like "Sunshine on Leith" and "Sing for Absolution" and "Johnnie and Mary"
Sun - went for long hot ride on Fazer to Rambouillet - hud coffee & tartine, nodoby tried to kill me although riding at 100 kmh, overtaking cars at 85 kmh who in turn are overtaking cycles at 25 kmh - is fun. then played tourists at Canal St Martin, went to movies to see Shrek2 (5/10) and hud nice Pizza.....
nice weekend - sounds like a Richard Bacon feature on XFM.

Friday - Went to the Chinese for a banquet (20 of us - free night ) Last memory is walking through the kitchen at 8.14 AM on Saturday morning to find we had run out of beer.
Saturday - Slept
Saturday night - opened beer, looked at it for several hours, set it down and went to sleep.
Sunday - erm - do you know what - I can't remember yesterday morning :scary:
Sunday evening - tidied up remenants of party from Friday/Saturday and went to bed early
so a quiet weekend then really
