You could try to come to some arrangement at the Travel Inn opposite, other than that it looks like it's gonna cost you £50-60. You can also try a quote here if you haven't already: http://www.parkandgo.co.uk/newcastle...t-parking.html

Cheaper than a taxi at least and unfortunately no flights from Newcastle to anywhere in Scotland (with easyjet anyway) as you could probably fly from Edinburgh to Newcastle then back again afterwards for the same price.

This one's opposite the airport across a main road and I used to work in the restaurant part that's joined to it (it's a Beefeater franchise - called The Aviator, car park has cameras but no security):

Travel Inn

Located next to the airport entrance the Travel Inn offers reasonably priced rooms with no-nonsense décor. There's a Beefeater Inn next door if you feel peckish.

Travel Inn, Ponteland Road , Prestwick, Newcastle upon Tyne , NE20 9DB
Tel: 08701 977 190

This one is about the same distance away from the main terminal as the hotel above but actually in the airport grounds just past the short stay carparks, you need tokens to get out the car park (barriers) and is probably more secure than the first one mentioned:

Britannia Airport Hotel

Conveniently located about two minutes walk away from the terminal buildings, Britannia Airport Hotel is an obvious choice for many. They offer room/parking deals and courtesy transfers.

Britannia Airport Hotel, Newcastle Airport , Woolsington, Newcastle Upon Tyne NE13 8DJ
Tel: 0191 4019988

The other hotels mentioned on http://www.gatwick-airport-hotels.uk.net/newcastle.htm:

Premier Lodge - is about 10/15min walk further down the road from the Travel Inn or 1 stop on the metro (there's a station joined to the airport btw) hotel and car park are a bit more isolated but can't comment on how secure it is.

Novotel - probably the best hotel (Travel Inn & Premier Lodge are a bit more basic but more expensive to boot I'd guess, also it's a 5/10min walk to the nearest metro station the 3 stops to the airport or a 10min taxi ride away, again car parking should be secure but can't comment from experience)

It'd be a case of asking the hotels I guess as I think they'd twig on to a car being there for 2 weeks and then you could come back to being clamped or whatever

No harm in asking though

Hope this helps.
