I think you will find the advantage of being able to meet your personal business advisor at your local branch / your office far outways the internet banks rates & fees

Basically she'll be arranging /conducting interviews and suggesting a shortlist to an agency who will then present the candidates to the client. She'll charge the agencies a daily rate.

Direct Business banking from Natwest is good and a bit cheaper than their business account from the branch.
Combined with their internet banking I find it very useful and easy to manage your cash.

I would try Bank of Scotland. I found them to be a lot more helpful than some of the others and from memory they were giving a years free banking.
I applied online, through the Halifax website. www.halifax.co.uk
Good luck with the new venture.

I'm with the Nat West and they charge you fees to withdraw, fees to deposit, fees for standing orders, fees for electronic transactions, fees to write cheques, fees for your business card, monthly maintainence fees... In fact, It would be a lot easier if they just asked you to bend over so that they can shaft you up the ar$e without all the bother.

Yep as above they are all as bad as each other, used to use barclays, were ok but their online banking was missing some critical stuff, with natwest now and they are ok but nothing special, certainly nothing like 'there is a better way' ad campaign, thats utter bollocks!

We were with NatWest but left when BOS took over and sacked our manager then replaced him with some teenager.
Went to Barclays - in all honesty they are all much the same, but at least our Barclays manager takes us out on the p*ss once a year.
Sorry - it was RBS, not BoS that took over NatWest. It was a bunch of jocks, which ever way you look at it.

RBS are very good. They don't charge you for stupid things like the other banks do. And if you go to your business manager and ask for short term borrowing of cash, they wont shaft you. Very handy when there's wages to pay and your cheques are "in the post"
