Default Where to book a Golfing break in Portugal?

Could someone recommend a site or person that can help me book a 3/4 day trip in late september or early october?

Also, has anyone here been to Portugal and recommend somewhere to go?

Would also consider another country if the prices are competitive.

TIA

James

Vilamoura without a doubt. You have four excellent courses there (what used to be 1 and 2 are my favourites -- I think they're called the Old Course and Pinhal now). Within 30 minutes drive are Vale de Lobo and Quinta do Lago, and a bit further away are Palmares and Penina. Needless to say, there are a bunch of less well-known courses around there too.

I think Spain is supposed to be better value than Portugal. The obvious place to stay is on the Algarve, but you might want to consider Estoril. The best courses in those two areas are San Lorenzo and Penha Longa.

Try this link: http://www.golfinternational.com/portugal.html

Yes, you could stay on the Costa de la Luz, which is effectively the bit of the Algarve that's in Spain.

No doubt about it, Quinta do Lago - by far the best golf resort in Portugal. Bit expensive though...

I'm off there in a couple of weeks

You could try Bill Goff Golf Tours. Mother in Law books all her golf clubs golf holidays with them and she cannot fault them.
