Folks,
Yesterday afternoon, I was driving along minding my own business, when out of the corner of my eye I noticed a big **** off police 4X4.
They were sat as the left side of a crossroads, elevated quite high thanks to a carpark. And doing a real good job of hiding thanks to the property to their immediate right which blocks the view of them until.................
So, as always, the first reaction is **** how fast am I going (not that I speed anyway). But I look at the speedo, and I was doing close to 50 (it was a 40 zone), so I immediately braked etc, and was down to 40 really quick.
I looked at them, they looked at me, the drivers window was down, so I assume the bollox had a speed camera?
What the likely outcome if I was doing close to 50 (definately wasn't over 50).
Fine ?
Points ?
I could live with the fine, but surely I couldnt get points for that, Could I ?

It wasn't a dig at you - quite the reverse - it was simply a warning that like all speeding threads on SN someone will shortly be along to castigate you for your heinous crime with such useful phrases as 'if you can't do the time don't do the crime'.
FWIW I think you'll probably be OK - sorry for any misunderstanding.
