Question Anyone studied with Home Learning Direct ?

My sister-in-law has just enrolled on a Home Learning Direct accountancy/book-keeping course. Just wondering if anyone has any experience of studying with them, was the course any good and did it lead to a whole new career ?

Cheers
Gareth

That's what concerned me, hence my asking.....she's really enthusiastic about the course and the benefits, but I was affraid she may have fallen for a sales pitch - however I want to be supportive and not suggest she's wasting her time, unless of course she is !

Personally i'd enrol at the local college for night school.I'd never consider any home study course, just wouldnt.

Paul...I'd tend to agree, but it's not easy for her to get to a college and the flexibility of the course attracted her as she can fit the studying around looking after two young children.

I'm one of those people that believe there's no such thing as a free lunch, and I don't want to see her waste time and money on something that isn't that good.

Ex missus did this course some years ago.
The learning material is good, and you are looking at potential money earnings in the future as small bookkeeper/accountant, but it is not a very professional qualification.

At the end of the day, it is horses for courses to be honest, but I do not think that my ex thought it was a rip off.
