How come there is always one **** who thinks nothing of parking his pile of S**T in front of your garage!
I went out this morning to drive to work but couldnt even open my garage door, and as it was so early I couldnt even knock on the nearest house to see who owned it.
Does this happen to anyone else or is my luck just gettin worse this week? Public transport sucks!

I would have thought that the **** in question was commiting some sort of offense by obstructing your garage. Get his/her car towed

They do it because they are selfish pr1cks. Next time remove all objects possible from the car in question without causing damage ie ariel, wipers and if you have time one or more of the wheels.
Even owners of the worst kind of wreck like to be able to get in them and drive away, listen to the radio etc.
Failing that buy a wheelclamp and charge the a55hole £80 as a release fee.

Parking in fromt of someones garage is :-
a) Stupid
b) Selfish
c) Unnecessary
Making the owner a tw@t, pr1ck, wank3r etc etc etc
Is there no-one that can see who owns it i.e. a neighbour who could tell them the chaos he's caused!
If he does it again just remove the valves from his tyres. Leave them for him on the roof so it doesnt cost him any money, just a lot of time and ar$ing around
Just my 2p worth

I used to live next door to a shop - NEVER again! People constantly parked accross the end of the driveway. If we were out we couldn't get in and had to hold up all the traffic in the road waiting to turn - then we got all the abuse....
Many times I'd be trying to drive out and someone would park accross me and, with a cheery smile and wave, shout "don't worry, I'll only be a coulple of minutes"

If he keeps doing it Paul, find a local clamping/towing firm who will agree to clamp/tow the car away on report from yourself.
Then stick up some notices and wait for the fun to commence
Or if you don't mind a bit of confrontation clamp it yourself. I did this to the owner of a tatty old Uno that kept parking and blocking access to my garage. I didn't charge him anything to take it off but I was *unavailable* for quite a while after he rang the mobile number I put under his wiper.

Know how you feel. My previous house had an access lane round the back which was always getting blocked. People would be shocked when I tore them apart because they could not comprehend the fact that they were not the only ones blocking it "just the once" or "only for a few minutes"!
After a few years I had no quarms about sticking huge stickers on the windscreen with "Selfish ****" printed on them, or towing/bumping the car out the way if a mate was available to assist. If I could find them then they got a very loud and aggressive bollocking in the middle of the road.
To the kind of people who are so thoughtless to just block someone in, this is often the only language they understand.

Paul.. got access to a landrover?
Electric or hyrdaulic winches will soon move it.. Or just a tow rope and drag it away..
I would do it.. get a few friends around whilst you do though

The more I think about this the more I think how well you took it!
There is absolutely no way I would have been degraded by being forced into using public transport by someone elses parking. I would have woken up the whole street trying to find the perpetrator first, and if that failed "arrangements" would be made to get it moved. Then it would be a case of waiting for the "removal lads" or for the owner to come back, whichever ocurred sooner!!!
In my case I luckily never had to to bang on more than 2 or 3 doors to find the culprit!

We've got a shared driveway and a neighbours (inconsiderate/fat/lazy/arsehole/chav) friends constantly park across our access...
What would be the legal position if:
1. I bought a nail that drives.
2. I parked it in my garage.
3. It was SORN'd. No costly tax, MOT or insurance though.
4. I was just checking the gearbox when the "Throttle stuck"
5. It reversed at warp speed and T-boned the offending vehicle...
???? After all, I'd be un-insured. It's private (but that part shared) land. The car would be legally SORN'd. Any comeback from the owner of the parked car?
Hypothetically speaking, of course...

Isn't it a civil matter as the they are parking on private property?
Personally would get a trolley jack, jack up the back, push it into the road and report it to the police! (Obstruction of the highway)
"I don't know anything about it officier, must have been a faulty handbrake. Best check their MOT certificate"

Easiest way is to phone the old bill.
My (ex)missus got a phone call at some ungodly hour as she'd blocked someone in.
They can get it moved for you if the owner can't be contacted.

we had a car that used to regularly park infront of our loading bay at work on a friday night and most of saturday mornings. he was obviously on the razz at the local night club and thought our bay was a nice secluded parking spot.
this went on for a couple of weeks, then in the end it really started to irritate me.
we left him a note on his window explaining that if he left his car here again, we would use the forklift to move his car and dump it in the middle of the road.
havent seen him again....

Still, I have a Disco and a tow rope if anyone in Hampshire has any problems!
