Didn't watch it last night, but did watch an OLD episode again the other night - the one where Rimmer's dad died.

SO funny.

'ooooowww, my stomach has been pumped and how I'm hungry'.

'Cat shhhh, Rimmer's dads died'

'Well I'd prefer chicken'

Quick competition - to find the nerdiest RD fan.

But how did Rimmers dad die ???

So come on then, fave episodes:

Polymorph, Back to Reality, Stasis Leak, Better than life.

And probably others I can't think of right now.

Seen on the RD site, special deluxe set of next series with a starbug model, mmm, nice

My fave - The monster one where Rimmer (in hippy mode) wants to form the Committee for the Liberation and Integration of Terrifying Organisms and their Reinstatement Into Society.

Fave episodes?
DNA - 4th series - Very well thought out.SF story line but funny too
Demons and angels - 5th series - Another SF one which is funny too, the best line of which is "I want to hurt you" "Why?" "Because... I'm not a very nice person."
Back in the Red - 8th series - After 8 series it finally gets back to the ethos of the first two series. Two people in space getting on each others nerves. And the return of the original Holly of course

My fave has to be bodyswap, a classic episode.

Rather thought the RD tailed off after series 5. Too many recycled jokes.

"Looking at a washing machine is not supposed to give you a double polaroid!" (think it's a washing machine, might be vaccum cleaner). Think that is from DNA. Other great quote is about twiddling nipples and not being able to pick up Jazz FM, or the power socket falling out of the recepticle

Oh, and of course, one of the best all time scenes has to be right at the end of Backwards. The look on Cat's face lol

One of my fav's is the one where rimmer (ace ?) dies... could be the same episode as being discussed earlier and rimmers hologram transmitter becomes part of a planet ring along with all other rimmers....... bit of a chocker....

that and the episode of Blackadder goes forth when they declare its a little late for becoming mad as who'd notice.... very touching when blacky, baldrick and the crew go forth when the whistle blows and the field turns to poppys....

Or maybe I'm just being gay.....

Maybe not

That last episode must have left a nation in shock (OK, the Blackadder fans ) when it happened as you just felt empty - it rammed it home how hopeless it was - there's been progs later where they've said they wanted to have a dramatic ending and it sure worked

Tends to make a follow-up series a bit of a no-go as wasn't there supposed to be a hippy Blackadder series?

BTW was it me or was the Blackadder "special" they made to show in the dome and then put on the telly one Christmas absolute cr*p and very weak? - not a patch on the originals

Talking

best episodes

DNA - "They're to bring back Glenn Miller. You took him you can keep the smegger!" & "My nipples don't work"
Better than Life - Rimmer and the Reliant Robin
Polymorph - The boxer shorts & Kryten's groinal hoover attachment - Had me in tears that one
Terraform - "There's a tarantula with an eye the size of a meatball setting up home in my boxers..."

Every episode has classic line - the list is endless - and how can anyone miss the Space Corps Directives?

"No one shall attempt oral sex in zero gravity in ginger tupee..."
