Villa/ Farmhouse in the Med - any recommendations?
Going on hols in September and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a villa/ farmhouse which matched the following:
Smallish (just 2 of us)
Quiet, but fairly close to somewhere so we can eat out
By the sea
Own pool if poss
Anywhere around the med or Canaries
Have tried looking on the net, but there are 1000's of places - need a starting point!
Cheers!

www.citalia.co.uk - used them 4 times - always great villas with pool, flight, car hire included.
Stayed in this one last time (though booked through the above co.)

Pool, fishpond, lovely garden and views, stuffed with original art. you won't be disappointed. pm if you want more info

Try www.vintagetravel.co.uk - have used them several times and have always been very impressed with their properties and service. They specialise in quiet villas/farmhouses with pools in unspoilt spots

I used VintageTravel last year too for a villa in Tuscany about 4 miles outside San Gimigiano. Villa could sleep about 6 (there were only 2 of us!), 4 bedrooms, private pool - right on top of one of the rolling hills, so good view for miles.
It was Capannettino if you look at their website (www.vintagetravel.co.uk).
Only odd thing was that the family that owned it lived in the villa opposite, and the granny sometimes sat outside where she could JUST get a view of the pool. Not a big problem, but a tad annoying.
The owner also brought out some lovely deep-fried flowers from a courgette on the first night, as well as leaving a couple of bottles of the local Chianti.
Booked the flights ourselves, but flew in from Edinburgh->Frankfurt->Florence on Lufthansa instead of going via Pisa. Florence is a nice small airport.
