Rental insurance ( rented van )
Ive rented a van, I took out fully comp insurance with an extra £50 per week for zero excess.
I opened the van door onto my own car wing, and damaged the car...........
Now the question, can I claim off the rentals insurance to have my own car fixed even though it was my fault ?
Quick answer required as the van goes back tomorrow.
Thanks in advance...

Just remember that while you won't loose your car's no claim bonus, you will have made an insurance claim, which you will have to include in your next insurance renewal, and it will affect your premium...

Thanks for the replies, your both right.
I returned the van, and spoke to the guy, he said ' yes, no problem.'
Then got a load of paperwork out the size of a yellow pages, and started on his well rehersed speel.....This will be logged as a claim against yourself, you will have to notifiy your insurance, you will have to notify any other rental company of this claim during a period of 18 months, etc, etc.
So I told him to forget it, and left it at that.
