I don't know if this is the same across the Uk, but our council has a great way of dealing with them
Simply draw a white line around them so that motorists can drive around them safely
Some of the worst roads are starting to look like a school playground now (hopscotch anyone?)

I think the roads in Grimsby are in the worst state that I have ever seen. You can bet every last penny though, they will decide to dig them all up at the same time so the entire town grinds to a hault.

And they wonder why 4x4's are getting so popular

 

no way, Hemel Hempstead is FAR worse than Grimsby for potholes and they don't even bother marking them out to avoid!
Now going OTT on speedbumps around Scartho and useless bus lanes, you do win hands down!!

 

I have never been to Hemel Hempstead so I will have to take your word for that
Have you been down Weelsby Rd recently? avoid it unless you need your tracking doing anyway.
