Putting those uncool cars on that chaps chest was amusing. If I was that chap, I'd be more embarrassed about the fact that he was unable to chew gum with his mouth shut. Didn't his parents teach him any manners

I thought the guy who said Fiat was French was being saracastic in that it was about as reliable as any other french piece of crap car. In retrospect I dont think he was bright enough to think like that.

What was wrong with the show?
I thought Ranulph Fiennes was incredible (though not especially car-related), the uber-Merc at the end on the track interesting, the roadster comparison was ok too.
They can't have Imprezas and Evos on there every week!!
At least they don't have VBH on there to spoil it all...

It's a mass market car programme, so it's meant to appeal to everyone!
I've really enjoyed this series so far, but like with everything that tries to 'please most of the people, most of the time', there will always be people it doesn't appeal to!

FFS we have this every time.
Its an entertainment program, main focus being cars.
I enjoyed it, was quite a laugh.
I don't need Clakson et al to influence me on my automobile likes and dislikes, I'd rather be entertained - which they do rather well.

As an aside, I'm amazed the BBC allowed them to have such a long (but well presented and justified) feature about the new pie in the sky transport plan! For that alone last night's TG was worth it's airtime.

Does there have to be a point ???????
They might just be doing it for fun or for the same reason that people climb mountains.... because its there to be done.
Why does there have to be a POINT to everything ?

Interestingly in these threads I see the similar people saying that it's the last time they're gonna watch it yet the following week they post the same thing

**** me, every week we have the same topic with people ranting about Top Gear and how cr@p and pointless it is..... why do you all watch it then !!
Two years ago I stopped watching Eastenders as I realised it was a complete waste of 2 hours of my week. For all of you that moan about it, try pressing either the 1, 3, 4 or 5 buttons on your remote - you will find TG disapears from your screen
