genealogy...
anyone tried to look up there ancestors ??
dont know much about my fathers side of the family, was wondering if i could find out much online ??

Luckily for me I have an unusual surname so it makes it a bit easier. Good fun though! I have found a few juicy bits of info that was NEVER mentioned by my dads family...just goes to show 'it all comes out in the wash'

Word of warning though.....be prepared to be at your PC for HOURS!!!!

I'm having fun at the moment. My Grandfather (RIP 
) was born in Chicago and his parents worked at bar owned by my grandfather's uncle (his dad's brother), I have info about when they landed in the US (my mum and dad went over to Ellis island to get the records), and I know names and where they lived in chicago, so I am tracking things down. I really want to see if the bar is still there, as it'd be so cool to go and have a drink in what was a family bar.
Would be oh so cool if it was still in the family as well (might be a few free drinkies in it
