Rehoming small animals-for a short while?
Hi
Just wondered if there are any organisations that look after small animals temporarily? Like the RSPCA or something? Otherwise it means different friends looking after each one and alot of hassle.
TIA

Try your local Wyevale garden centre or similar that sells pets, many of them will look after Rodents etc for a couple of weeks or so, but they will need to be up to date on their jabs

What sort of pets?
If it's for cats then the local Cats Protection organisation will have fosters carers who can look after them if there's a good reason. For instance if a person living alone has to go into hospital for a few weeks & has no-one else to look after them.

where are you based mate? My wife offers a pet sitting service near Oxford. She will either pop in and check up/feed them during the day or will be happy to accomodate them for a few weeks.

I think the pets might be wascally wabbits, thought I could be wrong.
As for rehoming them, hmm, don't know of anywhere local myself, however you could ask at local pet shops, maybe Wolfit, the chappy there is a nice bloke.

We might be able to handle an extra house rabbit for a week or so. Maybe we could do a swap for when we go on holiday and need someone to mind ours?

Simon even if its not needed now that could be a very good idea for the future! Although we have 2 monsters now, both with very different characters The most recent one has a need to run constantly in laps round the room as soon as its let out and keeps running until its worn itself out and then gets up and bites your arm if you ignore it to tell you it wants a fuss

Ours does the bottom of trouser legs and/or feet and/or hands. Depending on what he can reach.
And he's a little mental. Be interesting to see how he would interact with another one as he's never met one before... He's been done so he should be at least a little safe.
Stubborn too. Thought putting this plant on a stand out of the way would be enough...

lol. erm he wouldn't want to meet Dougal, Dougal was chopped on the basis that it would make him calmer, instead it has made him into a homicidal maniac intent on wanting to rip Dillions throat out I think he must have be rather fond of his bollox and misses them greatly Hence neither have met freely, only face to face through the bars of their cages and it wasn't a pretty sight seeing such a small fluffy animal turn into be-elsibub
Dillion hasn't had the chop and is extremely friendly - if you get my drift, so your bunny may get more of a friendly approach that what he bargains for
