does anyone know how effective this unit is at detecting mobile radar guns?

This is a gps unit with a laser/radar add on unit.

According to the comparitive websites, its range is significantly shorter than the dedicated detectors that do not have gps.

I am interested in buying a unit on behalf of my sister, but she has left me to make the decision with a budget in mind. I have looked into this many times and have settled on my own origin B2 i the hope that their add on radar detector will be some good.

She was recently caught by a radar gun hidden behind a hedge and so is more concerned about this type of camera with fixed installations being less of a priority. I would like to account for everything possible though I know that laser detection is nigh on useless.

I am just wondering if anyone has any experience, specifically of the S6R saving them, having detected a mobile radar gun as this appears to be the only unit to combine gps and RADAR detection available until origin pull their fingers out.
