Unhappy Plenty more fish in the sea....

..not bloody surprised either. My dinner of fish, peas and gravy in a tray - £3.53!

That seems alot of money for a fish and a few blanket lifters! I've not had a fish from the chippy for a while, I can't remember it being that expensive though.

Or is my chipy a robbing barsteward?

That's because the fish are caught in Scotland, shipped to England for "processing", frozen for several weeks then returned to Scotland. It's all down to Transport costs and the high cost of English Oil

AND all that is subsidised by the English taxpayer. If Scotland was independent, it would cost you even more!

There aren't that many fish left in the sea anymore! Thats why it is getting more and more expensive. The continental ships have hoovered them all out from our waters.
