Angry Abuse of police power (kinda) ?

Hi guys n gals,

I am a bit annoyed hence im writing this. Basically I sold some stuff on Ebay and the guy pestered me loads from the day I recieved payment. Now I admit I was a little slow (12 days from winning auction to bloke recieving the goods).

Now he rang up before and said that he is a police officer and if he didnt get the goods tommorow morning he would take things further. He gave my g/f his badge number etc and which station he was attached too ( I wasnt in at the time)

Now Im f*cking insensed by this and I have a good mind to complain to his superior officer about this. What can I do ? Maybe post his details on here would be a good start.

you said you were slow in sending out the goods did he pay via cheque? anyway he is within his right to phone you if you havent made contact with but as long as he didnt threaten then there aint nothing you can do
by him saying he would take things further then he probably meant take it up with ebay which i would have done myself
cant really do anything about it tbh

sounds like the tyipical arrogant "I'm a police officer" type thing! I know of a wee tw@t that acts in the same manner at any oppertunity
Call him back and ask him what he means by "taking things further"

tbh... its a civil debt so wouldn't be able to do anything anyway.

Unless you never had the item in the first place... etc etc etc.

you were slow to send the goods, I could see the thread on here being exactly the opposite if it was him writing it. You take the money and you send the goods, thats how it works. Its really you who is in the wrong so take responsibility for it.

Send him a novelty postcard of a copper looking like a tit along with the goods.

Sounds like a "Do you know who I am?" sort of guy. Ha she left bad feedback yet?

So if he called you and said he was a solicitor and would be taking things further would that be different?

he called.....quite right, who the hell wants to wait 13 dyas for something to be delivered????? the biggest anoyance on ebay is getting a bargain then waiting ages because someone cant be bothered to post it.

he said hes a cop...so what? is telling you a cop an abuse of his power?

take things further.....sounds fair..neg feedback, complain to ebay, non posting seller, etc, etc

there seem to be a few posts on here where ppl are in the wrong and look to blame someone else.....take it on the chin, im sure hes more pissed off at waiting 12 bloody days than you are that he told you hes a cop!

Stuey, yes you are a plonker for not sending these things sooner but that doesn't give him the right to abuse his authority over you.

I would send him a letter apologising for the mis hap but would also speak to his superiors at his station (after all he did give you his number and station it would be a shame not to use it)

Make sure you speak to an Inspector or something like that as it them who frown on officers abusing there professional status to achieve personal goal. That is more naughty than you not sending his cannabis in time
