V nice car, though I'd probably rather go for the XJ Super V8, if you're going all pipe and slippers then go the whole hog (ok, maybe a benters Turbo R would be better then?)

it was just like the one they had on top gear as in from a standing start in high gear the turbo just went on & on & on absolutely no lag going on there...

I have some video footage of one of the Jaguar F1 drivers testing it with a motoring jounilist on board and he crashed it the plonker, I think the driver is Pizzoner or what ever is name is, sorry don't know how to load onto scoobynet.

I had one of these for a month. Then P/ex'ed against an STi!!!
The acceleration is amazing - put the autobox into Sport mode and just keep the pedal to the floor - the supercharger whine is amazing. They are so refined both mechanically and internally. I had two tone leather and it was fully loaded - SAT NAV, telly, etc.
So why did I get rid of it? It bored me!!! There was nothing to do except press the pedals! And even though the handling is very good it will never go round a corner like an Impreza. And yeah, the shape did start putting me off - I think the latest shape is an improvement.
I bought mine used from a Jag main dealer and it had to go back a couple of times for little niggles and that always spoils the ownership experience doesn't ir.
They can actually be quite economical - I averaged 22mpg - but got 27mpg on a long motorway run.
