Booking cheap flights
Here's a tip for booking cheap flights for you and a load of mates for weekends away or stag weekends.
Dont automatically assume that Easyjet, Ryanair, etc will be cheaper than people like BA, BMI, Lufthansa, especially when no one lives near Gatwick or Stanstead, and Heathrow is on their doorstep.
Make sure you check the costs of scheduled airlines too, as in my case, both trips have had Easyjet flights booked from LGW but in both cases its cheaper BA from LHR (and easier to get to).
Rant over.

Found the same applied for me a while ago. Wanted to fly to Newcastle to visit my daughter. Usually done from Stanstead by Easyjet. But on this occasion, it was far cheaper by BA from Heathrow (Closest airport to home) and they even provided inflight refreshments too ! Added bonus, their plane was the closest to the terminal, so , no long hike across the airport either.
Yep....last few flights I've been on from Edinburgh have been with Lufthansa....worked out cheaper than budget airlines....got to Stuttgart for £99 return, and also Florence for £140 return (both from Edinburgh). Oh, and yes, free food & booze on Lufthansa too....
Used to think Edinburgh airport was pretty small, but you ain't seen Florence!
