Default how big is your cold water tank

Looking at getting a new cold water tank to go in the loft, now been looking around and apparently 25 gallons is a popular size, however currently we have a 50 gallon tank and that is what is recommended in my DIY house book.

So just out of interest, how big is your water tank?

Mine is 114L, which equates to @25Gal. I find it plenty big enough for what we use

50 gal. I can't see why a 25 gal wouldn't do the job though, especially if you shower rather than bath.

Have a 50 gallon here. The smaller the tank the less the pressure of water as well.

Not sure that's right mate. Water pressure's related to the height of the tank; not the volume.

true, but if the tank is 2 ft deep, there will be an extra 2 ft of pressure when it is full up.

Make sure you can get it through the hatch before you buy one, or get an inflatable one...............

Very good advice. Or alternatively you could make yourself a new bigger loft hatch by falling through the ceiling, like wot I did
