ixus 400/500 vs sony p100
About the only advantage i can see with the sony is the video capture facility of 30 fps rather than the 15 fps of the ixus series , my question is do you think i'll notice the difference between the two video qualities as i've no idea....

i've got the 400 and it is great! uses cf memory instead of memory sticks so not tied in to sony in the future can't really comment on the video as don't use that much but i am really happy with it and the quality. Just look arround for the best prices on the internet and get Jessops to price match it, I did this as I was in a rush just before going away
cheers

got the ixus 500 and it's great - cost £295 from cameras2u.
didn't buy it for the video functions though.

Cheers, i really fancied the ixus 400/500 and read some great reviews but was put off by the 15fps video,i have since found some clips of 15 & 30 fps and there is a pretty big difference so i think i'll have to go with the sony...

Picture quality wise there isnt much in it, but to me the user interface on the Sony is much better (screen, controls etc)
Both top notch cameras though..
