How much would it cost to build a garage?
I am looking to build a garage about 4 metres by 7 metres with a tiled roof. Does anyone have any idea what this should cost me? A few people have told me 4 grand but i have had quotes as high as 10 grand. Any info much appreciated Gary

37 pound fifty (and the price of a new shovel for mixing)
- hard to tell - it depends on the area you live - ask a brickie how much he would charge you for a day - give your local building supplier the plans and they will quote you for materials. Then ask a roofer for a price. - Should be less exp this way

Can depend on the build method, prefab, block and render or facing brick, pitched roof or flat :yuk:. I built a 6x4 a few years ago using facing brick worked out about 3.5K that was doing most of the labour work myself as the brother-in-law is a brickie and the father-in-law is a joiner.

I had mine demolished/rebuilt earlier this year.
Demolish old garage inc. the concrete floor slab and remove everything, new floor slab, new walls (x3, brick and breeze block), new roof (+ disposing of old asbestos roof), re-used existing garage door and frame.
Cost me £5200+vat.
