I'm cleaning my nitro RC car and I've totally stripped the chassies, electrics etc and gave it a good blast with the presure hose.

The engine is absolutely filthy, how safe would it be to put it under the pressure hose?

If I block the carb, and leave the spark plug in, will it still **** it up?

Its got **** loads of water in it but its shinier that its ever been!

I've got the hair dryer on it, mebbe that will help?

It's the closest I've ever got to owning and Impresa and it looks like it fooked

Anyone think it's will fire up?

Strip it and put it in the airing cupboard for a few days. I dropped my mobile in the bath and done that. Buttons still stick a little but it works

Did you stick the heatsink or the actual engine under the water?

I wouldn't have stuck my engine under a tap, just buy some engine cleaner.

I'm not sure if water damages them or has any other adverse effect but I rather use the proper cleaner.

Take the glo plug out and spin the bugger over b4 firing it up....

How i remember with great frustration my R/C ownership, me and a m8 pestered the bloke to build em up for us, as we wanted them to play with NOW

first blat and the tyres spun off the rims....luv em to bits......

also had more complaints "playing" with it than ive had running the race cans on the busa.......

Stripped the bladdy thing, and there wasn't all that much water in it

Aaaanyway, put her back together, good glug of fule in the cylinder, got the plug red hot and she turned first time, adjust the carb so it's nice and rich with lots of smoke and it goes like the clappers!!

Oh and with the tyres spinning off the rims, you're supposed to superglue them on!

as for the tyres, we bought them ready built, shop 4got to glue em on but hey, it was a larf watching each others faces as they shed the tyres off...

Mine died racing an ice cream van, mates racing a scooter......gone, but never 4gotten..........

Chaos after I have given mine a dousing in water I usually take the plug out and leave it in the airing cuboard/boiler room over night before starting engine/turning any electrics on.

Always been fine for me that way. but put a bit of fuel/oil in the engine and turn it over a few times with the glow plug out to protect it over night.

Put some after-run oil in it as well, deffo helps, or dont you use that?

I crashed it so I need a few bits:

New muffler, gasget & screws
2 engine mount screws
1 new fuletank
tyres and wheels (cuz they're a bit shagged)

Anywhere online that would get the above parts?
