Whats done with a PAC code, is it entered on the phone / is the Sim updated or will a new service provider issue a new Sim card?

I moved a Pay as you Go Voda to a contract Orange without too much trouble. You need to get the PAC code from your current supplier and give it to the new one. You will also need to get a phone and SIM from the new supplier. You then give them all the details and 28 days later or so it will get moved over.

Can't remember if I needed any "codes" off the old phone to do this, if you do, you may be a bit stuck if you have lost yours!

Phew - just gotta buy a new sim card (9.99) and they will update it to the old number!!

Dont give a toss about the phone being lost but all my stationery printed on Thursday last week had that number on it - 10,000 flyers, headed paper, business cards etc etc

Ooops - that could have been nasty!!!

When you get the new SIM, see if your provider can set up call divert for you till the port comes through - as I said, the port can take a while.
